Which 3D file formats can I open?
You can open 17+ formats right in the browser: 3DM, IFC, 3MF, OBJ, STL, STEP, GLB, glTF, FBX, DAE, PLY, OFF, WRL, IGES, BIM, 3DS and AMF. No plugins or desktop software required.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
Only when you choose to. Viewing, measuring, converting and exporting all happen locally in your browser. A file is uploaded only if you publish a share link (or save it to your dashboard workspace).
Do I need an account to view or convert models?
No. The viewer and converter are free and work without an account. Sign in only when you want a persistent workspace, storage for shared models, or embedding your shared models.
What is the maximum file size?
Files up to 50 MB render smoothly in the browser. Larger CAD/BIM files are often fine after converting to an optimized format like GLB or glTF first.
How do I share or embed a model?
Open the Share dialog on any loaded model to copy a public share link or a QR code for AR. Both Free and Pro users get a copy-paste iFrame embed. Free embeds include branding; Pro adds branding and appearance controls.
How does the AR viewer work?
Every shared model gets a mobile AR link. Open it on your phone with the camera facing a surface and the model is placed at true scale in front of you - no app installation needed, on both iOS and Android.
Can I measure distances and angles?
Yes. The built-in Measure tool shows point distances, edge lengths, angles and parallel-face spacing, and stays live while you orbit around the model.
Is 3DViewerConvert free to use?
The core viewer and converter are free forever. Pro adds a larger workspace, cloud storage for shared models, unbranded iFrame embeds, appearance controls and export control.

Can I use the Free plan forever?
Yes. The Free plan includes a workspace for up to 5 models within 250 MB of storage and unlimited 3D and AR views. Upgrade only when you need more.
How much cloud storage does each plan include?
Free includes 250 MB for up to 5 models. Pro costs $9.99 per month and includes 5 GB with no model-count limit within that storage quota. Saved model files, AR copies and thumbnails all count toward storage usage.
What happens when I hit my workspace limits?
Your existing models stay accessible. New uploads are blocked when you reach your storage quota, or the five-model limit on Free. Delete older models to free up space or upgrade your plan.
Can I embed my 3D models on my own website or store?
Yes. Free includes a basic iFrame embed with 3DViewerConvert branding. Pro adds unbranded embeds, light or dark backgrounds and the option to hide viewer controls. Both plans support viewing models directly on your product pages.
Can I cancel my Pro subscription at any time?
Absolutely. There is no lock-in and no cancellation fee. Your Pro features stay active until the end of the current billing period, and your workspace reverts gracefully to the free plan afterwards.
